EIIAS BONEWIIZ, (1/17/1823-3/13/1873) Buried in Indiana near Roann.
m. 1st Mary Ann Kimes or Keime, (10/22/1829-1/11/1855)    "    " 
Elias was a blacksmith near Millerstown, Perry County, Pa in 1850. 
Their children were born before they moved to Perry Twp, Miami County 
in Indiana. Elias had a shop on what is now the Draper place. Elias 
and Mary were both buried on this place. Mary Ann's parents were
William and Elizabeth Kimes (or Keime) per family recollections. 
    1. Elizabeth A. Bonewitz,  born 1849. No further information. 
    2. William H. Bonewitz, (1/15/1851-12/5/1938) bur. N. Webster, Ind.
        m. Charlotte Plew, (12/22/1855-3/3/1911)    "   "    "      " 
    3. George Wilson Bonewit,  (6/19/1853-8/2/1927) Died at Elkhart, Ind.
        m. Amanda Ellen Haze, (1/24/1863-3/28/1935)   "        "      "
     William was living with a George Keime family and George was
     living with a Henry Biding family when the 1860 census was taken.
     Their families are on pages that follow.

Elias remarried to Mary Jane Eelburn. Born Maryland. Buried Wabash. 
    1. Samuel Bonewitz,  born 1858,  lived at Berrien Springs, Michigan 
       and was buried there about 1929. He married late and had no children.
    2. Phoebe Bonewitz,  born 1859. No information.
    3. Laura Bonewitz,  born 1861, 
       married Earl Corder, and had two sons and three daughters, 
       Laura and Earl are buried at Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
    4. Belle Bonewitz, born 1863, died young. Buried near Roann. 
    5. Benjamin Eli Bonewitz  (1867-3/7/1960) Buried at Falls Cemetery.
       m. Stella Shoemaker,  
          1. Ruth Bonewitz was their only child. She married an 
             Alexander and has a son and two daughters. Don lives
             in Chicago, Ruth and her daughters live in Wabash.
     6. Alice Bonewitz,  born in June, 1869, 
        married Harve Gray. They had a son and two daughters.
        They are buried at Falls Cemetery.

Elias died when children from the second marriage were young. The 
mother placed the children in homes and the children grew up not 
knowing much about one another. Mary Jane remarried to Jack Barnes.
