Frank J. Bonewitz, (3/30/1822-11/24/1903) Buried at Van Wert, Ohio.

   Frank was a merchant at Van Wert. Elizabeth was born at Orrville, 
   Ohio. Her father was born in Ireland and her mother was born in 
   Connecticut according to census records. The children adopted the 
   spelling of Bonnewitz. There are no male Bonnewitzes of this branch 
   now living except John, and he had no sons.
   1. Infant son, age 20 days, died Sept. 1, 1848. Buried Wayne Co. Ohio. 
   2. Oliver Perry Bonnewitz,  (2/5/1851- died at Van Wert before 1900) 
      m. Helen Hammer. They had a daughter but no sons.

      m. L. G. Schumm,   There were four children. 
   4. Vinton Bonnewitz, (7/23/1855- died before 1870 census)

            m. 1st Gwendolyn,         Divorced in 1950, lived Des Moines.

            m. 2nd Marjorie Bates, in 1953.  John was in insurance at 
            Des Moines, Iowa but now lives at Corpus Christi, Texas. 
   6. Etta Bonnewitz,  (1/4/1860-6/4/1904) m. Robert Bayne 
   7. Frank G. Bonnewitz Jr.,  (7/27/1862-7/26/1948)   Buried at Van Wert.

   8. Elizabeth Bonnewitz, (2/3/1865-9/19/1953) 
      m. Dr. Bates of Lima, Ohio        No children. 
   9. Dr. Orlando F. von Bonnewitz, (7/16/1867-  /  /1965) 
      m. Anne Cornelia Bonham, born Sherman, Texas. She died in 1939. 
      Orlando was a self made man with a striking figure and a 
      strong personality. He started out in show business, then went to 
      a Chicago medical school and became a Doctor in New York. He later 
      claimed to have five college degrees, two of them from Heidelberg 
      and the Sorbonne in Europe. He later had business interests in Texas. 
      He had no children. He is believed buried at Van Wert.
